In these sketches, I tried to get a grasp on basic body structure and posing. I used reference material for these poses. I learned a lot about how to structure basic bodies.
These sketches were more posing practice and one of them incorporating a more 3D pose as they are pointing at the camera. I improved a lot on how to pose and how to angle bodies more for a 3D effect.
I'm not to great at drawing female bodies, so I took the time to look up a YouTube tutorial and followed it. I learned a lot about the female anatomy and how to properly sketch their bodies.
I practiced drawing women more to get more confident at it and I tried to sketch them at different angles. I learned more about female anatomy and how their bodies differentiate from male bodies, like how they are overall more curvy.
More posing and body practice but on a real basketball player as a refence. I got a lot better at posing more 3D looking poses and angling.
I started to study up on human anatomy and muscles to make sure I was sketching everything alright and ended up doing research on the very basic arm and leg muscles.
I practiced simple arm muscle structure some more and tried it at two different angles in a flex pose and a wingspan pose. I improved a lot at getting the arm's muscle proportions right.
I tried to practice basic muscle and body structure some more and made a pose of a man praying. I learned how to structure the male torso better.
I tried to sketch a more detailed structure of the male body with basic muscles and structure. I learned a lot about how to properly sketch proportions correctly.
Another pose and muscle practice where I tried to sketch off of a reference again. I got a lot better at drawing from a reference.
